NATURE CENTER HOURS April - October November - March Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. . Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Grounds, Trails, and Imagination Grove are open year-round, dawn until dusk.

wishing to visit the Nature Center and Grounds are encouraged to

Directions from Bloomington, IL: Take I-55 South (toward St. Louis). Take the Shirley exit (the first exit) #154. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp, on County Road 34. Turn left at the T-intersection onto Old Route 66. Proceed approximately 4.5 miles to Funks Grove Road. Turn right. Proceed over railroad tracks, and take the first left. At this point, there will be signs for Sugar Grove Nature Center. Follow this road. At the Dead End sign, continue straight. The road will open up to prairie and you will see the nature center buildings on your right. When you come to the gravel lane, turn right, and proceed to the parking lot.
Directions from Springfield, IL: Take I-55 North to the McLean exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left (west). Take a right immediately after passing McDonalds. Turn right at the next stop sign and follow Old Route 66 North. Proceed approximately 4.5 miles to Funks Grove Road. Turn left. Proceed over the railroad tracks, and take the first left. At this point, there will be signs for Sugar Grove Nature Center. Follow this road. At the Dead End sign, continue straight. The road will open up to prairie and you will see the nature center buildings on your right. When you come to the gravel lane, turn right, and proceed to the parking lot.
Directions from Champaign, IL: Take I-74 West toward Bloomington/Peoria. Take I-55 South (toward St. Louis) as you enter the Bloomington area. Follow directions from Bloomington.
