PRINTER CARTRIDGES Sugar Grove Nature Center is now an official site for recycling cell phones, ink jet, laser, and toner cartridges. By recycling qualified items, Sugar Grove Nature Center will receive funds to help offset the cost of office supplies and printing. Over a billion new printer cartridges and cell phones are sold in the United States each year adding to our nation’s large carbon footprint (the amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere due to the use of fossil fuels, especially in manufacturing). Most of these items, although recyclable, end up in landfills. Qualified items recycled here will be remanufactured—saving them from our local landfills while generating revenue for the Nature Center. Help both the environment and the Nature Center by participating in this program! Undamaged cell phones and their associated accessories, all inkjet, laser, and toner cartridges that have not previously been refilled or refurbished are accepted. Please place your items in a sealed bag if possible and deposit them in a drop off container inside the Nature Center. And as always, thank you for your support! |
