Members-Only Family Camp Out

All 2007-08 Sugar Grove Nature Center members are invited to join us for this special members-only event.  We hope that you will choose to renew your membership at this time.  (Membership renewals begin on October 1st.)

Not a Sugar Grove Nature Center Member?  This is the perfect time to join!  Enjoy one of the benefits of membership immediately by taking part in this members-only camp out.  Additional benefits, including reduced program fees, are listed inside our newsletter. Fill out a membership form today or visit our membership table when you check-in to set up camp.

Arrive on Friday anytime after 3:00 p.m. to choose your campsite and pitch your tent.  Then join Nature Center staff for a weenie roast and s'mores, go on a night hike, listen to stories around the campfire, do some star gazing and so much more!  Meet other families and individuals who love nature and Sugar Grove Nature Center!

Wake up Saturday morning in the beauty of Funks Grove.  All campers are asked to break camp by 10:00 a.m.   Of course, you are invited to stick around and take part in our Family Nature Exploration Day activities including a guided hike at 10:30 a.m. and animal feeding at 1:00 p.m.
 

We Provide:
  • A great camping atmosphere
  • A roaring campfire
  • Hot dogs, buns, chips, drinks, and condiments
  • S'more ingredients
  • Roasting sticks
  • A light breakfast Saturday morning
  • Restroom facilities
 You Provide:
  • Tent, sleeping bags, lawn chairs, etc.
  • Any additional food & beverages you may want (no alcoholic beverages)
  • Toiletries and other necessities
  • Hiking shoes

Evening Activities Include:

  • Songs and stories around the campfire
  • A night hike
  • Star gazing with the Twin City Amateur Astronomers
