Making A Difference

Membership

In October of 2007, Sugar Grove Nature Center celebrated three years since opening our doors, trails, and gardens! We have come a long way in a short time, and are delighted that the Nature Center has become a special place for so many individuals and families.

Thousands of people participate in formal programming, site tours, special events, and seasonal celebrations at Sugar Grove Nature Center. Schools from across central Illinois visit for field trip experiences and our partnerships with local Universities and Colleges provide education through on-site research and internship experiences. Visitors from near and far stop in to enjoy our interpretive exhibits, live animals, and wildlife viewing room.

Program fees and grants fund only a part of our operation. Thus, we rely on donations from our friends in the community for a significant portion of our budget. Generous donations from the Paul A. Funk Foundation, Hazel Funk Holmes Trust, and from people like you help us continue to offer quality programs, a warm and friendly facility, and beautiful grounds to explore. As a non-profit organization, all donations to the Sugar Grove Foundation are tax-deductible. Please consider becoming a member of Sugar Grove Nature Center today!

Every membership makes a difference. The Nature Center Staff, Volunteers, and Board of Directors appreciate your support. We look forward to providing nature enjoyment and environmental education opportunities for many years to come.
